Happy New Year everyone. May 2012 be a better year for everyone!

These are the next two fabric book pages for my shades of pink fabric book. The top one is from Anne and the 2nd one is from Brigit.

The sun came out yesterday and melted some of the ice, so this is good. We are to get sun and rain later I think today. I've been over and back to the grocery store.

Brandy gets her first bath (at least from this house) at noon. She has really been a very good dog and a nice addition to this house!

These are the handmade Christmas card I received. The lower right one is a fabric card.

We finally have snow on the ground. Snow I can handle for the most part, but we had rain first and then when it got colder of course that turned to ice. So our drives are ice underneath which is not pleasant. I cleared the drive twice last night and each time it had about an inch of slush on it, so I'm glad I didn't leave it overnight.

Today I go for a haircut. I spread ice melt on the drive. Roads look like they are fine.

We are to get snow today into tonight. So far nothing on the ground. I am staying home today, have phone calls to make and just need some down time. Norm was fine yesterday when I went and when I called there earlier Dan said he was fine.

Recently I was in a charm/dangle swap in the Art Charm group in yahoo. I showed what I had received, but this is what I did with all of them...made it into a necklace.

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. Ours went well...the weather was wonderful...nice and dry!

For dinner at my cousins we had ham, potato salad, baked beans, green bean casserole, fruit salad. Carrot cake and nut roll for dessert. A good time was had by all.

I will go see Norm this morning and stop back at the Civic Center to pay for Jan/Feb lunches. Enjoy your day!

Recently I was in a steampunk jewelry swap in Fiber Art Traders yahoo group. The top pins are the ones I did (they are wrapped with wire around the edge). These pins are from Glo and Sandra. This was a great swap.

Once again we are getting rain. It is so soggy outside! I'm sure more flooding!

Went to see Norm this morning and he is fine.

Yesterday I treated my senior friend to lunch at a Chinese place.

This is my Christmas present from Mary Wilkins...thank you! Most everyone knows I love and collect tea pots. I like the ornament she sent as well. Brandy had a coughing spell on Sunday with phlegm, which is part of getting the kennel cough out. She only had one more dose of the antibiotic yesterday and so our vet called in another prescription for her as I don't want Bonnie getting this. Brandy is fine and yesterday the cough wasn't as bad, hopefully it is on its way out. She has one more dose of worm meds and then I take a stool sample in on the 29th when she goes to the groomers.

She got out on me Monday. Wow is this dog fast and I'm glad we are fenced in! She flew through the yard and wanted to get out, if she had, she would have been gone, so I can see how she slipped out on her previous owners. Now I either hold her or put her in the bathroom when I let Bonnie out.

I saw Norm yesterday, he is fine. Today I'll be taking my senior friend to lunch over to a Chinese place.

Hanukkah will be starting soon and I want to wish everyone a Happy Hanukkah. This is the cards I did for my friends. The symbol stamp is from All Night Media and I thinkt he branches may be from Hero Arts.

This week has run smoothly with Brandy and Bonnie, which is very good. Brandy has worms from being out on the street, so we are taking care of that.

Norm is doing well. I saw him yesterday morning. He had these black spots on his forehead and I asked him if he had been to confession! Everyone cracked up. From what they told me when he was sitting at the table where the magazines were, he fell asleep (it is soooo warm in there) and his head went down onto the table (not hard), but the print from the magazine was on his forehead.

We had our first snowfall yesterday. I definitely will not be driving there when it's snowing. There are hills and that area is not as good as salting the roads as they are over here. So I was very glad when I got back into our area and the roads were just wet!

I am home today. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Recently I was in a swap over in the Art Charm group in yahoo. These were the returns. The one on the bottom left is mine and the one on the right was a gift from the hostess.

The week is running smoothly. Weather wise it is mild with rain. So needless to say my sinus is bad and so are my fingers. They swell when it's humid out.

On the other hand Brandy is doing well. She goes to our vet today. I still have not heard her bark and it may be due to the kennel cough issue, I will ask. It should be just a routine check up as she's had her shots, etc. From what I can tell the surgical area is healing nice though she won't let me roll her over to look at it. This is where Patches was very obliging as she loved rolling over on her back. Bonnie wouldn't let me look at it either if it were her.

Have not done much are due to fingers and also I usually take the last of December off from it. I actually have no swaps pending...hard to believe!

I picked Brandy up late yesterday and she is doing just fine so far! I'm amazed! She does have the kennel cough and so she is on meds for it and for pain from the spaying, but she seems fine. I kept her in her cage overnight and she seemed ok with it and will do it until after she goes to the groomers on the 29th. She's scruffy from being out in the elements, but there's no fleas on her which is good, heartworm negative which is also good. She has had all her shots now. She and Bonnie are doing fine.

Stayed home all day today and Brandy stayed on the couch unless I moved of course or if she had to go out. Tomorrow when I go see Norm I will leave her in the bathroom as there's more room to move around then the cage and we'll see how she does. Have yet to hear her bark! She whined this morning when I got up, but that's all, it's very quiet...

Weather has been mild, but sigh...more rain moving in tonight and through Thursday. Today is the first day I have done nothing (except take the dogs out) in a long, long time!

This is a birthday card I did for my aunt. The tea cup is from Stampendous, the tablecloth from Azadi Earles, Happy Birthday from Mostly hearts and the other stamps have no names on them...old, old, old... The weekend went fast, but spent a good part of the time cleaning and running errands. Weather has been mild which is very good.

Went to see Norm yesterday and he is fine, I will see him today.

Late today I bring Brandy home if she goes through the spaying surgery well. I call there late this afternoon. We are all ready here for her.

This was the next book page I did for the fibre fever group. It was for Helina and she wanted the painter Czeanne. This is simply titled The Three Pairs. Today is myh day with Norm and if he's up to it we'll stop and see Brandy on the way back to Woodside.

I was home most of yesterday and worked on Patches little journal. It is done and I will be able to put it and the rest of her things in a box back in the closet now.

We have a dusting of snow on the ground and it's pretty cold out. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Meet Brandy, she will be coming home with me on Monday. I found her at the county shelter on Saturday. I took Bonnie back today with me to meet her and they did fine. Brandy was found wandering the streets of Parma, no info on her. They say she is 2,weighs 15 pounds and is a terrier mix. She gets spayed on Monday, has had her shots from them. I will take her to our vet on the 15th. She seems pretty reserved for being 2, but she is a cute and mine! No name with her either, that's why I got to name her.Norm is doing well. They were coming down the hall when I got there and going over to the library area where they have loads of jig saw puzzles set up and when I left he was working a jig saw puzzle.

I took my senior friend Emily to Olive Garden for lunch. We stopped at Pets Mart and picked up a few things for Brandy. It was another drippy day, but we were happy to be out.

These are a couple of Christmas cards I made this year. Top one has Hero Arts, Printworks and Inkadinkado stamps used. The 2nd one has Hero Arts and Stampin Up stamps used.

Recently I was in a charm swap over in a yahoo group. The theme was red/green/gold. The top picture are the charms/dangles that I did, the bottom picture are the ones I received in return. It is a great group and great returns.

Norm is doing fine, falling has stopped which is good. Friday lunch went well and I did get the check back, which is now on it's way back to the Credit Union so I am glad that is settled.

Friday I took Bonnie to the vet for her blood work, etc. They gave her the shots she needed so I don't have to go back in January. All her results came back fine. The vet said I did good by Patches it would not have been fun to watch her go downhill. She still had some personality left and that is good...

Saturday Bonnie went to the groomers and while she was gone I went to the county shelter. I did see one small dog that had just been brought in. I plan to take Bonnie with me on Tuesday to meet the dog. The dog was in heat and so they have to spay her, etc. Not saying this is the one, but she had been roaming the streets and they don't know much about her. I had my senior friend laughing because I said I can picture a little "old" lady owning her and somehow the dog got out on her. The dog has no collar or tags of any kind. I sat on the floor with her and she did come to me and when I gave her a treat I got licked on the nose! When I went to leave, she actually wanted to come with me! I need to know if she's had shots or if they intend to give her shots, etc.

I went to see Norm this morning. HA! They had him back in bed as he had been falling asleep in his chair all hunched over. When I went in his room he was wide awake. They keep Woodside so hot and today was no exception, plus it is very mild outside and so it makes it that much warmer inside. Norm keeps his window opened in his room and so it was very pleasant in there. Dan said he was going to move his work back there and Norm said ok...lol! Dan wanted to know why I was looking for another small dog and I said I have no one in bed with me now...he lost it!

Nothing else planned for today.

This is my block for the orange round robin study group over in Yahoo crazy quilting for newbies group. My block has been sent to New Hampshire. It will be enroute for a while, but it will be fun to see it when it is fully embellished on its return home. I was home all day yesterday which was nice for a change. Norm has been falling a few times again, but not getting hurt. I guess this is who he is, but it certainly isn't fun for any of us. I'm hoping to get the check today to get it back to our Credit Union, but who knows with this, I still feel I'm getting a run around with it.

We had some snow, nothing serious, but one would think it's everyone's first time driving in it!

Today is senior lunch. They bumped it up a day, so I will be picking Norm up in about an hour. He will do his workout first. I miss my little Patches big time especially at night since she use to sleep with me...
